My Spirit name ‘Diadem’
Many years ago, I had the incredible honour of receiving my spirit name, Diadem, from Minister Eric Hatton during a beautiful naming ceremony at Middlesbrough Spiritualist Church. It was an unforgettable and deeply meaningful moment for many reasons but mainly that it unveiled the name that I am known by on the other side of life. The service itself was a completely new and awe-inspiring experience for me, it was truly amazing in every way.
I love to use my clairvoyant ability to assist others who may be working through issues or confusions that are present in their lives. We are all moving along the journey of human living with the challenges that come our way. My intention and hope is to shine a light on a new and different soul perspective that can help you make this path a little smoother.
I am truly humbled that spirit and the universal power continue to work with me in so many different and wonderful ways.

So, who is Susan Hughes the Soul Path Guide?
As a child, I was quite shy and uncertain but I often found myself saying things that others thought were a bit out of place. I used to feel so confused, trying to understand why people could not see the truth the way I did.
Looking back, I can see now that I was simply very innocent in my way of seeing things. And in all honesty, I am grateful that I still carry that same sense of innocence however, these days it is a more mature and wiser version
I cannot honestly say that I saw spirit as a child, since I do not really remember that happening. However, looking back now, I realise that spirit was always around me, a constant presence. I know I felt different to other ‘normal’ people (but hey, what is normal!). I could not understand why people did not know the things I knew, things that just seemed like common sense or a natural knowing to me. It made me wonder why I could not fit in and be like everyone else, it was quite frustrating and lonely at times. I am sure many mediums and psychics have often felt the same way!
When I was in my late teens and early twenties, I started really looking into these experiences and found out that what I was experiencing was called psychic ability. I was absolutely amazed, there was actually a name for it! This discovery sparked a whole new wave of questions and reflections. I began to wonder what if I could find the answers to some of the questions I had been asking for years? What if I could use this ability to help others find their answers too? It was a huge turning point for me!
This experience led me to an exciting journey of discovering confirmations and deeper understandings about knowledge, truth and the belief that our spirit is eternal. It showed me that our lives have meaning beyond what we can see and sense. Eager to explore this incredible new wisdom, I sought out and received comprehensive training in various areas, including Clair abilities, Psychic practices, Universal & Spiritual healing, Reiki (Master), Spiritualism, Mediumship, Trance, Soul Connections, Psychology, and Counselling. As a Medium and Soul Path Guide, my journey of discovery and learning is always ongoing.
Personal Development
My personal growth through working with the spirit world brings me so much joy, and I embrace the challenges that come my way, knowing they help me become the best version of myself. I will admit, that when some challenges arise, I have the occasional human reaction of thinking, “Oh my goodness, what next!” But I have learned to find peace and hope much faster now and the gift of understanding and accepting myself is truly invaluable. Sharing my work with others is such a beautiful experience and I am incredibly grateful for this journey. Though it has not always been easy, the lessons I have learned along the way have strengthened my belief and resilience.
‘Proper’ Spiritual Training
Many years ago my training to work with spirit began with online at a site called Delphi and it is here that I met my first mentors, Violet Kipling FSNU with her sister Minister Doris Smith CSNU. I travelled to the UK to attend their wonderful Rainbows End seminars at churches in Billingham, Bristol, Middlesbrough and Darlington to name but a few.
I have so many happy memories of these times and met lots of new friends, many of whom I am still in touch with and it was at these seminars that I was introduced to the world of Spirit and started me on my path of study. These studies came with personal struggles, frustrations, laughter and tears, all of which have been a constant companion on this extraordinary journey I have had the absolute pleasure to be on for many years. It was under the amazing guidance of these two ladies that I discovered and learned to work with my ability as a medium (I already had some understanding of the psychic power) and I began to unfold and open up to the endless possibilities of working with the spirit world in a recognisable format.
My passion for this journey continues to grow and I remain committed to deepening my development and knowledge through seminars and workshops across the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, the UK and the USA, always with a curious and open heart. I have also had the privilege of studying at the renowned Arthur Findlay College in Essex, UK, internationally recognised for its teachings in Spiritualism and Psychic Sciences. These experiences, along with other inspiring learning environments, continue to support my growth in this work.
Accreditation
In May 2014, I had the privilege of completing a mentorship year with the incredible Mavis Pittilla OSNU, and it was an experience that helped refine my skills in ways I never expected. To be honest, I surprised myself along the way! This mentorship gave me a deep understanding that the Spirit World wanted to work with me as much as I wanted to work with them. I also completed the Advanced Mentorship for The Professional Medium & Teacher in Manchester in November 2016 and I continued to expand my knowledge for my work guided by this wonderful teacher and of course, my spirit team, whom I lovingly call “The Lads” (it’s a bit of an Irish thing!).
In April 2016 I achieved my CSNU award for Speaking and Demonstrating from the Spiritual National Union UK and went on to achieve my teaching accreditation in March 2022.

My Mantra is Onwards and Upwards!
Just keep moving forward! I do not do this without purpose, I always stay mindful of my goals and intentions. Challenges come into our lives to help us grow and even though they may not feel that way when we are in the middle of them, we often find that it is exactly what they were meant to teach us in the end.
